Pooling resources to benefit students

Standard Bank 150 Bursary Programme

In honour of its 150th anniversary in 2012, Standard Bank launched the 150 Bursary Fund to provide full-cost sponsorships to tertiary students. The bursary is designed to promote academic excellence and shape the next generation of African talent and African leaders within South Africa and the continent at large.

The two Standard Bank Group 150 bursary programmes (undergraduate and postgraduate) are also recruitment bursaries in that bursary beneficiaries will be required to work for Standard Bank upon graduation for the number of years they received full-cost bursary funding – should they be offered employment by the Bank or a position in one of its graduate development programmes.
