Kangnas Wind Farm Bursary Programme
Kangnas Wind Farm invites bursary applications from current students at public South African institutions of higher learning (FETCs, Universities of Technology and Universities). Applicants must live in the Namakwa district municipality geographical area of the Kangnas Wind Farm and must be South African citizens.
Who can apply
Only applications from present students at South African public tertiary institutions of higher learning, or students who will commence with their study programmes in 2025, who live in the Namakwa district municipality geographical area of the Kangnas Wind Farm and must be South African citizens.
Bursary details
The value of the bursary will be determined on an individual basis and may be used to cover the following study-related cost items:
- Institution tuition fees, registration fees and examination fees.
- Accommodation in an institution residence or equivalent
- Meals
- Learning materials (textbooks, stationary, etc.)
Selection Criteria
Bursary allocations made are limited by the budget availability for a particular year.
The main criteria used in the selection of successful applicants to the Kangnas Wind Farm bursary are as follows:
- Academic excellence – Selection will be done on the basis of Grade report (final or mid-year) results and/or tertiary academic record.
- Financial need: Applicants must be able to demonstrate that the combined family income (gross) does not exceed R350,000 p/a.
- Eligible institutions: Bursaries are available for suitably accredited public and fully accredited private institutions.
How to apply
- Applications must be completed on StudyTrust’s online application platform to be considered for a bursary for the next year.
- Only applications from South African citizens will be considered.
