Our Team
Our Values
StudyTrust’s core values are fundamental to its identity, guiding all its operations and the behaviour expected of its employees. These values are believed to underpin a set of universal values and behaviours crucial for building relationships to realise StudyTrust’s vision. All StudyTrust employees are expected to aspire to live out these values in their internal and external work.
The core values include:
- Dignity: StudyTrust is convinced that every human being has innate dignity and is of equal worth. This conviction places honesty and respect for others at the heart of what StudyTrust does. The organisation views all forms of harassment and bullying as incompatible with its aims and beliefs in the dignity of all people and will not tolerate such behaviour. Employees are expected to treat all people fairly, with respect and dignity.
- Agency: StudyTrust believes that empowering young people through education will enable them to take charge of their destiny.
- Accountability: The organisation is committed to being accountable for how it uses the resources entrusted to it. StudyTrust measures its impact and continuously strives to improve its performance. Employees are specifically required to be responsible for the use of information and resources, using them in a responsible and cost-effective manner, and accounting for all money and property.
- Transparency: StudyTrust ensures that its decision-making processes are open and transparent.
- Collaboration: StudyTrust’s work is rooted in a spirit of cooperation and affirms the value of partnering with others. They work with key actors, including civil society, government, and the private sector, in various ways and on different levels. Employees are expected to work with others in an open and participative way, cooperating both within and across teams to support organisational results.
- Compassion: This value is a call to love and care for one another in compassion and humility, standing alongside all those who struggle against poverty, powerlessness, and injustice.
These values collectively define the organisation’s identity and its operational approach. They guide how StudyTrust treats, works with, and values individuals who are different, recognising that all people should be treated with respect, have something positive to offer, and possess an equal right to access resources and opportunities. Employees’ personal and professional conduct must be of the highest standards and in keeping with StudyTrust’s beliefs, values, and aims.
